JBS Law Going to Indy!
Garcia-Velasquez Qualify to NFL Nats
Garcia-Velasquez Qualify to NFL Nats
Ivan Garcia and Rolando Velasquez downed Greenhill in a close 2-1 decision to qualify to NFL Nationals. They are the first team in JBS Law Magnet history to qualify to NFL Nationals. The tournament will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana in June.
This is the culmination of a year's worth of work. Thanks and appreciation go out to Dustin Darby, Brian Kersch, Charlie Stephens and Zavier Wingham for providing solid assistant coaching throughout the year. We would also like to thank the staff of the JBS Law Magnet: Patricia Guerrero, Severo Perez, Rozana Rojas and Angela Taylor for chaperoning the team when we needed extra help.
Finally, we would like to thank the Dallas Urban Debate Alliance staff, Nicole Serrano and Lauren Sabino, for helping input NFL points and covering the cost of entry fees. Ivan and Rolando will not only be representing the Law Magnet, but the entire DUDA.

Coppell Classic 2012
The JBS Law Magnet Debate Team will be leaving Townview at 230PM. Note that Round 1 starts at 415PM. Coppell is not difficult to get to, but it can be a challenge to locate because it is hidden in a residential area. Make sure you clearly communicate to your parents to pick you up on the back of the school. They will have to travel in front (where the flags are) of the school and all the way around to get to the back. The back is NOT located on the side of the Stadium entrance and student parking.
