Law Magnet Name Changed

I just found out the school board voted this summer to change our school name to:

Judge Barefoot Sanders Magnet Center For Public Service: Government, Law and Law Enforcement at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center.

This is to honor Judge Sanders who died last year. He actually came and taught the debate class the year before he died. We have letter from him in our courtroom and a picture of him with our students on the back of our recruiting pamphlets.

Judge Sanders was the judge who primarily oversaw the desegregation order which created the magnet schools in Dallas.
